Interstate Ban For East Malaysia

Due to the increase in cases all over Malaysia, PM Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced a temporary interstate ban from Sabah, Sarawak, Labuan, to West Malaysia. There are still no news regarding a lockdown for Malaysia.

However the PM did mention that if there are such plans for a lockdown, he will be giving Malaysian citizens enough time to arrange for interstate travel to avoid being stranded during the lockdown. The temporary interstate ban will be from 12 October to 25 October (2 weeks) to reduce import cases from Sabah.

We urge everyone to continue following SOPs and quarantine yourself after travelling to East Malaysia. It is our responsibility as Malaysians to do what we can to curb Covid-19, as cases have escalated to 691 cases.
